Jarvis & Womack carry out roof tiling on the majority of sites developed by Taylor Wimpey West Yorkshire, whose office is based in Wakefield. Spanning more than 20 years the relationship has developed through our commitment to quality and service, whether the requirement is for a large block of apartments or a small door canopy. In this time, we have gained an understanding of how to provide the best quality in the most efficient manner, specifically geared to the needs of our client’s site team.

Information about the Projects

The partnership began with McLean Homes, an independent house builder, in the early 80's when we were engaged on a small number of housing developments locally but, although the acquisition of McLean Homes by George Wimpey led initially to a degree of uncertainty, our commitment to quality and service provided us with a platform on which to increase the number of sites on which we were working in line with the expansion plans of the George Wimpey team.

Taylor Woodrow has recently taken over George Wimpey, to form Taylor Wimpey, and we take pride in our position as remaining the company’s major subcontractor for roof tiling.

Predominantly concrete interlocking tiling, our works over the years have included vertical tiling and artificial slating, on sites raging from South Normanton in the south, to Glossop in the west, Hull in the east and Harrogate in the north. It has occasionally been necessary for us to have a presence on up to nine sites at any one time but we are big enough to cope with the demand and yet still we pride ourselves on producing quality workmanship to an agreed programme.
